Digvijay's Short Movie review: Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

The heavily popped trailors, Pritam - Atif, Ranbir - KATRINA and Rajkumar Santoshi's public commitment for a movie like 'Andaaz Apna Apna' dragged me to this romantic comedy on thursday itself. Thanks to Ranbir, I don't have to regret much now.

Ranbir-Kat fans will rate it ***.

The movie is about Prem (apna Ranbirrr) and Jennifer (meri Katrina). Prem is a Happy Club president and Jenny is a librarian, recently shifted near Happy club. This happy club tries to keep audience 'Happy' throughout the movie.

Why to watch?

RANBIR... I am not a Ranbir fan but his brilliant performance in the movie made me clap for him. Future bollywood superstar.. Prem's madness, idiosyncracies and love( n heart break) shapes the soul of the movie. He contributes to a major part of the movie. The act of stammering is very well framed with Prem and Jenny. Kat's stunning looks complement Ranbir's performance helping him keep the audience stick to their seats.

Movie doesn't have traceble storyline as such but few scenes are just not to be missed.. Scenes where Prem became dancing partener of Jenny throwing Tony aside, Salman's rocking guest appearance n your-mine girl friend thing, flirting scene of Prem's mom for restricting his father to enter bathroom, Prem's "chalo na kuchh aur bat karate hain" scene when his heart explodes are very well canvassed.

Movie runs well in first half as compared to second. I couldn't figure out reason why Upen Patel n his character has to be there in the movie. The last fight loosens the hold on audience. There are many unnecessary characters and twists that could have been avoided.

Music: 'Tera Hone Laga Hoon'.. Hats Off to Atif, Alisha, lyricist Ashish Pandit and Pritam. This love song takes you to the hills and trees....

Watching Ranbir in 'Prem Ki Naiyya' can be a good experience.
